What is alcoholism? 
This is a chronic disease that results from complete psychological and physical dependence on alcohol. It is medically referred to as alcohol use disorder (AUD). this disorder mostly results in mental and physical complications.

Causes of alcoholism
Every decision made has a reason, and every ailment also has a cause. Some of the following are what causes alcoholism. It could be caused by environmental or genetic factors relating to an individual.  Scientific studies have deduced that it is highly likely for children born to an alcoholic parent to develop alcohol dependence syndrome compared to the general public. Alcoholism has cost many a person their jobs and families. Those who suffer most in such a family are the children.

Alcoholism may also have a psychological effect on the users. Persons, who have the ADS, suffer from mood swings and depression upon intake of the alcoholic drinks.
